Spending Christmas

Christmas with family is the best wherever you are, as long as you can celebrate it with the people who really mean a lot to you, Christmas will always be merry.




I am blessed enough because despite being unable to go home for Christmas, my family had the chance to visit me and we had the chance to celebrate it all together. And this year's celebrations are the best because we had visited different places,.

A Heartfelt Message to My Best Friend, Dayana!

For Dayana, with love.   My dearest Dayana, Meeting you in 2019 feels just like yesterday. I still remember the first time I saw you— in our dressmaking class, wearing that light blue striped polo dress, your short hair, your quiet, shy presence. Something in me said, “I want her to be my friend.” I befriended your friends  (our classmates) first  to get closer to you. And when we finally clicked, it felt so easy. Milk tea dates after class—though I didn’t even like milk tea at first. (It hurt my tummy, remember?) It was you who introduced it to me. Cooking, Exploring, and Camiguin Memories

The PALAHUBOG crew went to Camiguin for 2 nights and 3 days, and it was a fun and very budget-friendly trip. (Old Church Ruins) I booked Marianita's Cottage for our accommodation. Based on our activities, this place was a good choice. One room had a sea view, and the other had a garden view and was slightly bigger. Best part? We could cook inside, which helped us save a lot on food. And of course, Teddy got to show off his chef skills, which made it even better. 😄 ( https://www.marianitas-cottages.com/) (the chef 👨‍🍳) We visited some of the island's well-known spots on our first day, like the  Old Church Ruins  (50.00 PHP entrance fee) and the   Sunken Cemetery (no entrance fee). Our dinner that night, plus breakfast the next morning, only cost us 172.00 PHP each. Super affordable and shared with laughter and good vibes. First time in Palawan | December 2023

Before, when I thought of Palawan, I imagined paradise—beautiful white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, dramatic limestone cliffs, and nature untouched by time. It has always been one of those dream destinations I kept in the back of my mind, hoping that one day I’d get the chance to experience it. That "one day" finally came in December 2023. Strolling Around Singapore

 After my 2-day, and 3-night in Malaysia, I rode a bus from Malacca to Singapore. The journey took around 3 to 4 hours, and before I knew it, I was in the vibrant city-state of Singapore. Excitement buzzed as I checked into my hotel and quickly headed out to explore. My first stop was the iconic Merlion and the stunning Marina Bay Sands. Unfortunately, luck was not on my side that day, the Merlion was under repair, so I could not see the famous statue up close. Instead of feeling bad, I made the most of my evening. I wandered around the beautifully lit streets, soaking in the lively atmosphere. Singapore is magical at night, and every corner seems to have something interesting to offer. Before calling it a day, I treated myself to happy hour and a delightful dinner. The next morning, I kicked off my day with a visit to the Asian Civilisations Museum . Right after “The Ruins” I went to the “Negros Museum” and explored the historical exhibits, and I was fascinated by their history and arts. The Negros Museum in Bacolod City celebrates the rich heritage of Negros Island. Its exhibits feature the local visual arts, historical artifacts, and ethnographic collections, highlighting the island’s past and cultural traditions. The museum also has a children’s exhibit with interactive displays and activities. Besides its exhibits, the museum hosts events and workshops to preserve and celebrate the island’s cultural legacy. The Ruins in Bacolod City

 In 2016, I read a book that featured "The Ruins", and after reading about it, I wanted to visit the place so bad. On June 13th, I caught an early flight to Bacolod-alone! It was my first time in the city without knowing anyone, as in zero😁. All these photos are thanks to my trusty tripod (a perfect purchase 😆). I am fascinated by the history of “ The Ruins” since this mansion was built by Don Mariano as a tribute to his beloved wife, Maria who passed away during her 11th pregnancy. The symbol "E" facing each other is actually the initials "M and M" stand for Mariano and Maria. When viewed sideways, they form a unique and romantic symbol of their enduring love. The Ruins, known as the "Taj Mahal of Negros", is a popular tourist attraction, celebrated for its romantic history and beautiful architecture. Traveling alone to a place I’ve never been is both fulfilling and liberating. I’m happy to check this off my bucket list._kenny🖤

2 days and 3 nights in Malaysia

After my amazing trip to Cambodia, my next stop was Malaysia! I flew from Siem Reap to Kuala Lumpur, ready for a 2-day, and 3-night experience. I spent the first night in KL, and even though it was just a short stay, it was super exciting. The city was alive with lights and energy Petronas Towers looked amazing at night. The next morning I hopped on a bus to Malacca, and wow, I instantly loved the place's vibe. Everything in the city felt so close and easy to get to, making exploring fun without feeling rushed. I wandered through Jonker Walk, a street full of little shops, historic buildings, and food stalls that gave me a real taste of the city's history and culture. One of the best parts of the trip was the boat ride along the Malacca River. The views were so cool, with colorful murals on the walls, and old buildings by the water, and I floated along with this peaceful feeling. It was a relaxing way to see the city differently. Visiting Thailand: My First International Trip

There's something magical about the phrase "first international trip." It carries an air of excitement, a touch of nervousness, and a sense of boundless curiosity. For me, that adventure began on July 20, 2024, when I boarded a Philippine Airlines flight to Thailand. It was a night flight, and I landed in Bangkok at midnight. The experience with the Immigration Officer (IO) was smooth, despite my initial worries, and before I knew it, I was officially in Thailand! My first full day in Bangkok started with a visit to Wat Pho, home to the iconic Reclining Buddha. Words can barely describe the awe I felt standing before this massive golden figure. It's a sight that demands not just your eyes but also your heart. Unfortunately, the weather had its own plans, it started pouring rain.
