Trip to Baguio City

Traveling with someone who matches your interests is fun and no pressure, just full of laughter and good times.

I met Yana in 2019 when I enrolled in a short course. We became close friends and shared common interests. We discussed our desire to visit Baguio City. Personally, I like cool places, and Baguio comes to mind when I think of cool temperatures. When the pandemic happened and unexpected circumstances arose, this plan was postponed. This year, we finally made it to Baguio. It was a short but memorable trip. The first night was challenging, but the challenges were fun because we were in the right company.

On our first day, we visited:

Baguio Botanical Garden. For a peaceful and refreshing experience surrounded by nature, the Baguio Botanical Garden is an ideal destination, offering a serene environment with lush greenery, colorful blooms, and opportunities for photography and learning about diverse plant species and wildlife.

Entrance Fee: 100.00 Php

Wright Park. Another popular tourist destination located in Baguio, Philippines, is situated near the Baguio Botanical Garden along Leonard Wood Road. This park is famous for its picturesque horseback riding activities, vibrant flowers, and tall pine trees, providing visitors with a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Horseback riding: 300.00 Php for 30 minutes.

Wright Park Lake. A lovely spot for leisurely walks, picnics, and enjoying the natural scenery.

Baguio Night Market
. This market comes alive in the evening, offering a wide selection of street food, clothing, accessories, and souvenirs. It's a must-visit for those looking to experience the vibrant night scene of Baguio City while enjoying delicious snacks and shopping for unique items.

What I ordered for dinner:

tteokboki, kimchi and canned drinks -160.00 Php

Rice with nilasing na pusit and tortang talong (comes with a free soup)-90.00

And for our second day, we visited:

Strawberry Farm. The Strawberry Farm in Baguio, particularly in La Trinidad, Benguet, is a renowned tourist attraction famous for its vibrant strawberry fields and the delightful experience of strawberry picking.

No entrance fee

Heritage Hill and Nature Park Garden (Old Diplomat Hotel). The site offers a panoramic view of the city from its vantage point, including a stone crucifix on the outdoor patio of the hotel's second floor.

Entrance fee: 10.00 Php
